The happiest shopkeeper in Xi'an
The happiest shopkeeper in Xi'an
The city of Xi'an in central China, offers a remarkable surprise of the largest muslim population in the country. The muslim quarter in Xi'an is known for its vibrant and eclectic night market which in the dead of winter is a sea of flickering stall lights and steam from food vendors. This stall owner has grown up in the quarter and her vibrant smile and fierce pride in the neatness of her shop, are typical of this extraordinary and unique community in China.
